Zhao Jizeng, President of China Refractory Materials Association-The Road to Powerful Refractory Materials

Release time:

On September 23, 2020, President Zhao Jizeng of the China Refractory Association shared with you the theme report on the road to a strong refractory material country at the fourth executive council meeting of the eighth session of the China Refractory Association, in which President Zhao proposed six elements to become a strong refractory material country, with unique and eye-catching views. The following is an overview of President Zhao's speech:
Standard of 1. Refractory Power
Refractory materials mainly serve the iron and steel industry and are an important industry to support the development of the iron and steel industry. Refractory material power (to explore) will be mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Enterprises should become bigger, better and stronger (Chinese enterprises should account for more than 5 of the world's top 10 refractory enterprises);
2. The product structure and configuration structure are scientific and reasonable, applicable and practical, with stable quality and high cost performance;
3, amorphous products accounted for more than 50%, amorphous products + non-burning products accounted for more than 90%;
4, converter, ladle (more than 250 tons) steel mills ton steel refractory consumption reached 8kg, other steel mills reached 9-10kg;
5, the international and domestic market to achieve 2:8, in addition to the introduction of engineering with refractory materials, after 1-2 years of efforts to achieve full localization of refractory materials;
6, total factor productivity, environmental emission indicators, energy (capital) source consumption level reached the international advanced level.
2. China, Europe and Japan refractory industry differences
Industry concentration: the concentration of the domestic refractory industry is still low, with more than 2000 domestic refractory industry enterprises, and the total revenue of the top 10 enterprises in 2019 is 26 billion, which is about equivalent to the sales revenue of a single company.
Intelligent informatization level of production line: the total number of employees in the 160000-ton production plant of Leifa in Germany is more than 90, with less than 30 production personnel, 33 R & D and design personnel, and 35 market development services and management personnel.
Domestic refractory enterprises generally still use more traditional production processes, low level of equipment automation, low per capita output value, the same size of the domestic factory staffing in 400-500 people.
Discussion on 3. Refractive Industry Power
1, the transformation of the development model: the refractory industry should change from high speed to high quality.
2. Transformation of management mode: management data, intelligence, informatization and ecology.
3. Transformation of business model: reduce costs, increase profits, provide customers with value-added services, win-win and common development.
4. Transformation of innovation mode: to produce high-quality products with advanced technology, low cost, and create excellent value.
5, the transformation of digital organizational innovation: from the organizational thinking, form, mode and boundary and other levels, to build internal "data" organizational thinking and organizational platform.
6. Change of cultural value: talent evaluation: emphasis on diploma, emphasis on level, emphasis on academic qualifications, emphasis on ability, emphasis on the past and emphasis on the present; Technical evaluation: value-oriented, papers written in the workshop; Value concept: value open ecology, all staff create and share together.
4. a new era, new challenges, new crises, new opportunities
1-The New Era
With the extensive and in-depth application of information technology, as well as the continuous innovation of new models and new formats, the economy and society are in the era of accelerated transformation from industrial economy to digital economy, and the mode of production organization is transforming from high-speed growth to high-quality development.
2-New challenges
In the process of transition from high-speed growth to high-quality development, we are facing challenges such as overcapacity, rising comprehensive costs, weak demand, and environmental protection upgrades.
3 The New Crisis
The challenges include complex international political relations, increasingly intensified trade wars, scientific and technological wars, financial wars, and the deterioration of the global environment.
4) New opportunities:
Although there are many difficulties and challenges, my country's industrial scale has long been ranked first in the world, the industrial system is complete, and it has strong development resilience and many opportunities:
The government has the ability of scientific management and macro-control, and the economic "double cycle" development idea proposed can help domestic enterprises effectively reduce their dependence on foreign markets;
The comprehensive speed-up of the "new infrastructure" development strategy, through 5G, industrial Internet, big data and other advanced information technology, to drive the rapid transformation of traditional industries to achieve digital intelligence; mixed ownership reform, enterprise restructuring, industrial chain upstream and downstream resource integration, for enterprises from big to strong to create new opportunities.
As far as refractory materials are concerned, China, as a big iron and steel country, needs to be adjusted and upgraded urgently. For example, the demand for military steel, stainless steel, clean steel, tool steel and other kinds of steel will continue to increase, and the steel technology and equipment technology will also be constantly changed. There will be new demand for refractory materials, and refractory enterprises will continue to develop new products, new technologies, new equipment and new processes to meet the changing needs of high-temperature industry.
